This article explores why this particular reference has captivated collectors and reignited interest in the Aquanaut line.
Dear all,
Happy to share a few pictures of my new Aquanaut 5261R-001, just received from my fantastic AD today! It’s been nearly nine years since I last bought a Patek, and owning an Aquanaut has always been on my wishlist. The 2023 Luce release definitely reignited that desire, and I finally got my hands on this beauty.
I’m really impressed by the proportions on my smaller wrist—everything feels spot-on. I can see why the waiting list is so long for Pateks (especially Aquanaut 🧜♂️ ). I’m looking forward to wearing it this summer (and for many summers to come), and I plan to keep this watch forever!
What do you think about the 5261R-001? Are there any aspects you’re not a fan of? I’d love to hear your honest opinions—both positive and critical!
Thanks for checking out my new arrival!!

The blue-grey color seems very nice and it works well with the rose gold. I’m not sure how I feel about the cut 12, but it’s only a detail. So, even if I would probably feel even more attracted to the brown model 5167R because this color really speaks to me, 5261R seems to be a very nice watch. Wear and enjoy it in the best of health! Cheers, Emmanuel
Isn't this release originally as a "ladies" watch that make all men's knee weak? I think it is a very nice one that can be shared if my "boss" gets the call, which may never happen, lol.... I heard the setting of the watch is not easy or takes a lot of time, pls do share your owner's experience when you get chance. Thank you.
I saw this reference at the Japan Exhibition when it was launched. In the metal, the color scheme is even more vibrant and regal than the photos !👍 Great catch and it looks 👀 superb on your wrist with shirt & jacket ! The only issue for me is cutting out part of the hour marker for 12 o’clock. Enjoy it often !
but I love the annual calendar complication and the moon is really special. Also in term of sizes works perfectly for me, perhaps more for smaller wrists. The cut 12 I honestly didn't even notice! but love the 🌝so a good trade off for me
somehow the color combination of the blue/grey is very very special in person.
super cool on your wrist Christian, huge congrats! Have lots of fun with it this summer!
