Yming, a discerning collector, shares his journey to acquiring a Patek Philippe Calatrava Ref. 5153G 'London Edition.' His post highlights the meticulous decision-making process involved in selecting a classic timepiece, emphasizing specific aesthetic details that resonate with collectors. This article delves into why the 5153G, with its distinctive features, stands out in the esteemed Calatrava line.
Hi everyone..
Wanted to share my new acquisition.
I have always wanted a classic calatrava. I had the 5107G, but found it too small for my wrist.
Recently I narrowed my search down to the 5296G Sector dial and the 5153G London ed. At the end the latter won the battle, I couldn’t resist the breguet hands, applied breguet numerals and hinged caseback.
Thanks to both Sam and Sham for giving me advice during my hunt.
