This post by cbb honors his father, Chamnong Bhirombhakdi, by reflecting on his deep appreciation for punctuality and fine watches. It delves into the personal philosophy behind his father's Patek Philippe collection, offering a glimpse into the values that shaped his horological journey.
My father always stressed the importance of being ON TIME. As long as I remember, he was never late, always punctual or even early. He often told us that anyone who doesn’t keep time, is never respected and rarely is successful. That’s why, I believe, keeping time with good watches was very important to him.

Being on time is such an essential ingredient to real, long-term success. Punctuality shows respect for the people that you are dealing with as well as respect for yourself. I don’t feel right if I am not wearing a watch. It must also be a watch that I am attracted to, that I respect and that I like looking at. Thank you so much for sharing pictures of your Dad and the beautiful collection of watches.
Respect your commitment to time and you will respected. Words to live by. Thanks for sharing these important messages. Bill
I always try to be a little early, so if there is an unexpected delay, I am still on time. Though I’m the only one in my family with this mindset 😰
The mark of a successful man.
I love the Patek back story with your great father. I was wondering if you could answer a few questions..... 1) what was his first Patek ? 2) what was his favorite Patek ? 3) when did you do start a love of Patek ? 4) how big was his collection ? 5) what happened to his great collection ? Kind regards PAUL PS - I just got back from Thailand! I LOVED IT
