JBen's acquisition of the Patek Philippe Ref. 5327G Perpetual Calendar sparks a discussion on its understated elegance and horological significance. This article delves into why this particular reference, despite its exceptional movement and design, often receives less attention than its counterparts. JBen's initial post invites collectors to appreciate the subtle brilliance of this timepiece.

The Breguet Classique reference 5327 represents the Date Moonphase series within the model range, distinguished by its combination of calendar and lunar phase complications. This reference positions itself as a dress watch offering within the Classique lineup, incorporating both practical and astronomical display functions.
The watch features a 39mm case constructed from 18k white gold, fitted with a sapphire crystal and fixed bezel configuration. The silver dial houses the date and moonphase displays, while an automatic movement provides the mechanical foundation. Water resistance extends to 30 meters, suitable for daily wear scenarios.
This reference appeals to collectors seeking a complications-focused dress watch in precious metal construction. The 39mm case size accommodates contemporary sizing preferences while maintaining formal proportions. The white gold case material and silver dial combination creates a monochromatic aesthetic that suits both the Date Moonphase series identity and broader Classique collection positioning.
Warning…. This can get very addictive ! Enjoy !
This blue dial for this PC is very attractive 👍
That watch is gorgeous--all the Patek you could need!
Congrats on a truly exceptional and beautiful piece. I view this one as the top of a related triumvirate, the 5227, 5205 and 5327 - all with those sinuous curves and scalloped lugs. Maybe the other two could be the next stops on your Patek journey? . In the meantime, enjoy this one thoroughly and fully. Cheers.
Patek did a great job in upsizing its 5140 PC to a more modern size while stylishly fitting all the indicators, subdials and numerals on this watch. And this white gold, blue dial piece is versatile enough to be worn with casual or dress clothing. Enjoy! Cheers, John
Wear in good health, and welcome! All the best, Niall
