Pretty Boy shares his experience with a new Patek Philippe, marking his first acquisition in a non-white precious metal. His post delves into the initial impressions of its weight, feel, and dial, sparking a discussion about the watch's 'flashiness' and its implications in various social and professional settings. This thread offers insights into the personal considerations collectors face when adding a visually striking piece to their collection.

He loves it. I have to say that there is something quite special about it courtesy of the metal. Congrats to you and wear in the best of health
But it attracts much more attention than a white metal piece. A partner of mine asked me about the watch first thing in the office today. She never noticed (at least she didn’t say anything) one of my other watches before. Not sure if this is a good thing.
Btw both the AP and the PP are really cool uber-cool
This watch is interesting
It is the question I ask myself when I buy a watch..."Where would I wear this". Now that i don't work in an office with other people, its not an issue for me. But when I did, i would ask myself that question. I have a friend who is in finance. Bond sales. His wife drives a Ferrari but he drives a Golf. His reasoning is that if his clients ever saw him driving, he would want to be seen in the Golf. I am sure there are plenty of guys in finance who just wouldn't want their clients to see outward s
looks good on your wrists...wear in the best of your health. RG on brown dial - good combination !! Best, mahesh.,
