MB&F Longhorn Legacy Machine Sequential and Perpetual Watches

MB&F celebrates their 20th anniversary!
At Vacheron Constantin's 250th birthday, a Swiss man by the name of Max Busser decided to take a risk. A risk to bring his crazy creations to life. He was a starving artist in a sense - and one who wanted to create works of art and to get them to the world. Busser created a swatch of Horological Machines. He blurred the line between Modern Art/Performance Art/Timepiece. They were polarizing watches. And somehow, the watches sold and sold well. Capitulating Busser to a rock star in the watch industry!
This year is MB&F's 20th anniversary. And while I can't say I've known him the full 20 years - it's more like 17 years - I can say he truly is a wonderful and kind person and one of my favorite people in the watch industry. It's nice to see a nice guy do well in the industry for once. While I can wax on poetically about Max for hours, I'll let the watches do the talking...
Two steel watches. One Sequential Chronograph. One Perpetual Calendar. The "Longhorn" designation is for the longer lugs. Both watches are made in steel. And both are priced at 168,000 Swiss Francs plus tax. Limited to 20 pieces each.
I'm diving into my couch cushions looking for some loose change. Everyone hold off ordering theirs until I've found enough loose change.
Please learn more about the Sequential Chronograph as it's an unprecedented mechanism. Here's a link: www.watchprosite.com
A few of my other favorite things from MB&F in addition to the beautiful Legacy Machine watches...
For our lady readers; the handsome Max is married.
I know this is a lady's watch. But what a cool piece! I'd definitely wear this if I were a lady.
Does Max like turtles? This looks like a turtle! The head is the crown. The lugs are the feet. The tail is the time indicator.
The horological world does have a thing for turtles...
This spaceship is really a music box for your table!!!
Great new versions!Very nicely executed new versions, both based on ingenious movements by Stephen McDonnel. My LMP Evo has been working flawlessly and still gives me a lot of joy!
Man they just keep making the perpetual calendar better and betterIt's still amazing to me a VERY small company out-engineered so many massive companies and delivered such a fantastic improvement to the perpetual calendar. Hope to own one eventually!
If one were to dream of a Vacheron Constantin... What would you dream of? I'd dream of a 222 in steel, blue dial. Maybe 37-40mm in diameter. With a high quality Geneva Seal movement inside.
