Description

I am selling my beloved Patek Philippe Nautilus, reference 5800/1A (stainless steel).

Extremely rare model as this reference was manufactured for approximately one year between 2006 and 2007. Around 500 units were produced. This reference was quickly discountinued as not as popular as the 5711 (slightly larger).

Exceptional condition - worn only a few times each year for big celebrations.

Clean history. All boxes, papers, Certificate of Origin.

Reason for selling: acquisition of FP Journe complication.

Only serious buyers with references. Based in London.

PS: References available on my side - I am well known at the Bond Street Boutique.

📖 About This Reference

The Patek Philippe Nautilus reference 5800 was introduced as a mid-size option within the Nautilus collection, offering an alternative to the larger 3700 and 5711 models. It maintained the distinctive porthole-inspired case design and integrated bracelet that define the Nautilus line, but in a more compact form factor. This reference was part of a broader refresh of the Nautilus family, aiming to cater to a wider range of preferences while preserving the core aesthetic. It represents a specific period in the model's evolution, bridging earlier iterations with subsequent developments. The 5800 features a stainless steel case, measuring 38.4mm in diameter. It is powered by the self-winding Patek Philippe Caliber 330 SC, known for its slim profile and reliability. The movement provides a power reserve of approximately 45 hours. The watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal, ensuring durability and scratch resistance. The construction reflects Patek Philippe's commitment to high-quality finishing and precision engineering, typical of its sports-luxury offerings. This reference appeals to collectors seeking a Nautilus with a more understated presence compared to its larger counterparts. Its production run was relatively short, contributing to its distinct position within the Nautilus lineage. The 5800 is recognized for its adherence to the original design principles of the model while offering a contemporary size that remains relevant for many enthusiasts. It represents a specific chapter in the ongoing story of the Nautilus.
