Description:
A very rare and collectible Ulysee Nardin hand winding chronograph with Dust Cover from the early 50's.

This stunning steel chronograph is presented in super condition, keeping great time for days at a time apart from the fact the chronograph function does not work for more than 30 minutes (you can of course still use the watch and the main hour, minute and second hands work perfectly).

It features a clean 2 tone MPH dial with inset registers. A clean SIGNED working movement and a crisp clean polished signed case that even still has it's internal dust cover.

A rare collectors item.

Dial:
The silver and gold tone dial is in super conditiona and signed Ulysee Nardin Locle & Geneve. The dial has an outer MPH scale in black an inner seconds track in black. The dial has Arabic numerals for hour markers and is fully signed. The dial features 2 inset chrono registers at the 3 & 9 o'clock positions and is complemented with attractive period hands.

Movement:
The manual wind Ulysee Nardin SIGNED 17 Jewel chronograph movement is in great condition and keeps great time, apart from the issue already mentioned about the chronograph function.

Case:
The SIGNED case is in excellent condition. This is a large case comes with it's original internal dust cover which has helped keep the movement clean.

It measures a large 39mm including the crown and 43mm to the tips of lugs.

Reason for Selling: Really sad to see it go but I need the money.

Strap/Bracelet: The watch is supplied with a 2 gorgeous and expensive straps.

The first a top of the range brown leather strap.

It took 10 weeks for the custom strap to be made by www.watchnetwork.com . They are based in USA however they actually send the order to France for it to be made there.

The buckle is original silver Ulysse Nardin (I purchased the buckle directly from Ulysse Nardin a few weeks ago).

The strap cost approximately (including the cost of the buckle) $420 USD.

The second strap is an original/ vintage black leather strap. These rarely come up for auction. The strap is in black leather with the name 'Ulysse Nardin' and the company anchor logo in gold lettering on the underside. The stainless steel buckle is marked 'Acier Inox Depose Swiss' on the underside. Apart from a tiny nick in the leather at one of the lug ends, the strap is in excellent condition. Measuring 19mm between the lugs/case width and tapering to 16mm at the buckle end.

Condition: I have only worn this watch a handful of times and the watch is in excellent condition. It looks amazing and the photos do not do it justice.

Price: Due to the chronograph issue and the fact i need the money this watch starts with no reserve and at the bargain price of £595use  XE.com for recent trannslation)

To the European and American watch Afficionados – This is a deal due to the watch itself e.g. straps, rarity, internal dust cover, look, etc and also due to the exchange rate having devalued by around 1/4 over the past few months and so you are saving around 25% on the watch value when compared to a few months ago.
