Ulysse Nardin Rattrapante with Venus caliber

This one is as rare as it gets and as nice as it gets. Ulysse Nardin split second chronograph with vintage Venus cal. 179 movement. According to Ulysse Nardin 50 pieces were manufactured in mid nineties: 20 in white gold, 20 in yellow gold and 10 in platinum. The watch is in NOS condition: there is no scratch or mark anywhere. The original UN gray strap faded slightly from time. White gold tang buckle with yellow gold UN emblem with no signs of wear. The watch is reasonable 40mm, but wears larger because of massive concave bezel. It is a substantial watch. Ulysse Nardin wasn’t saving on gold while making in. There are no issues with it whatsoever neither cosmetically nor technically. It keeps excellent time and both chronograph and rattrapante mechanisms function perfectly. The chronographs with Venus split second movements are almost impossible to find nowadays and this one is one of the finest examples.
