Description
I would like to find a Universal Geneve Tri-Compax chronograph (moon phase) watch from the 1940s or 1950s, preferably in rose gold and "jumbo" / 37mm, in very good cosmetic and working condition. Not interested in refinished dials or watches with replacement hands or other parts. Lots on examples are listed for sale on popular auction and other online sites, but none are quite what I am hoping to find - a sharp, clean, original watch. If you have one that you would consider parting with at a fair price to make room for something else in your collection, please PM me (and include photos and any descriptive details you know in terms of reference number, etc., if possible). “tri-compax”= 3 subdials ? No
The term 'tri-compax' originally referred to watches with three complications, not subdials. It's not accurate to use it solely based on the number of subdials. 'Tri-compax' can also apply to watches with four subdials in specific arrangements.

Another vintage Chronograph I could carry an autopsy on, with a few pictures. Nice case, superb dial, great movement. These Chrono Calendars are a classic in a collection. Snap back case, showing the ref number ( 22 279 ) and the serial number dating it circa 1945. The case is circa 36 / 37 mm big.
