Ask why the minutes cannot be split as well on a split seconds chronograph. Take the wonderful L951 movement as the base - and do so.

I felt the same way but after a few weeks it made "click"
and now I think the PR looks perfect. Same with the moon phase on the Datograph perpetual. Something to do with the 3D nature of the recessed subdial, or maybe it's early dementia. Best Andreas

Yes: before the Double Split, no sub-register had ever been split on a chronograph - let alone split and decoupled.
The Triple Split - though itself brilliant - is an increment of the same functionality, once it was conceived and realised in the Double Split.
For sure one of the top three chronographs ever released, what a gorgeous movement !
For me, only the Patek 5370P trumps it because of the enamel dial and thinner case profile. Quality of movement finish is comparable I guess ? Cheers, Pieter
