I must admit that I have been one of those who for years have made strong requests to get from Lange a WG version of the 3 hands Richard Lange. So it was with an undisguised pleasure that I could handle this watch only available in the Lange boutiques (ev...  

And if you add this Richemond sad habit to release Boutique edtions, I don't find it very convincing. If only it had a stronger look, a more special design, " daring " as you said, like a black dial and a platinum case, the Richemond behaviour would have ... 

Some ADs also have their editions, I'm not shocked to see boutique editions... and as you know... with some brands... even the boutique editions can be found elsewhere... Fx

but somehow boring, to be honest. The additional spice is missing, when you present almost the same watch after so many years. No ideas? No guts? ...?

And to tell you the truth, if I didn't know this was a new lim edition,I would have guessed it was in the collection for ever. I agree with all my fellow purists before that this is rather bland, a missed opportunity from Lange: black dial,blue dial,pink ...

Excellent review, which has left me with a dilemma. When looking for a simple three, or two handed Lange, there is the Saxonia Thin, the 1815 with sub seconds, and the RL above. Just based on power reserve, at 72hrs, 55hrs, and 38hrs respectively, the Sax... 

When I compare the WG and the PG version, I think that the PG version clearly gets my vote. I much prefer the warmer atmosphere. Fx

... but these days, I always scratch my head because Lange put blue hands on ONLY WG cases - why no longer in PT cases? Sure, PT case may deserve more expensive-looking rhodium hands, but in my mind, Lange = pocket watches = blued hands.... and they are s... 

You know, I made the same comment in my mind when the new 1815 was released. The combo blued hands & silver dial was available with the WG version which was a surprise for me. Fx

I am nevertheless happy to see a white metal RL with blue hands. Is ALS playing it safe? In my opinion, yes. The watch enthusiast in me however is glad to see such configuration make available. A black dial? That would be perfect!!! Then perfection is als... 

But when I was thinking about a dark dial, I had a deep blue dial in my mind to be frank with you! Fx

It's such a stealthy, heavy beast of a watch. Owner's bias, no doubt, but it feels great to wear it.

You know, without any hesitation, I prefer the PT version... mainly because I think that the hands color works better on your watch. Fx

I could not agreee more, Fx. The singularity and prominence of the seconds blue hand is RL's main charm, IMO.

And yes, I was a bit worried by this detail taking into account the objective of the watch... Fx
