Alot of Pt lovers love Platinum precisely because of it's heft

Which is what makes it so desirable since it is the 3rd most densest naturally occuring element, and it is this density that endows it with amazing characteristics found no where else.

The good thing these past few weeks is that Pt is trading below gold, which i hope the effect will trickle down to our favourite industry so that me and others can purchase more Pt!

It's really not about the affordability, but it's beauty and both physical and chemical characteristics that attract people to Platinum. If Pt was super cheap one day ( highly unlikely but a big IF), would you buy it? I would, because my love for it was never based on it's price in the 1st place ( Oh it's expensive, thus must be good, thus i buy sorta mantra) but solely because of it's intrinsic value. Hey i'd welcome a huge price drop right now, but even if it does not, i still love it.

Just being passionate about my most favourite element.

My experience with PT and "scratchability" is horrible...

Hi Sanro, The thing is many folks out there actually appreciate the patina that Pt acquires through long periods of use, and while i personally prefer a highly polished state of things, i am comforted by the fact that when Platinum is scratched, the metal...

my Rl Platinum is 4 yrs old and is not a safe queen. scratches are very few. if someone needed to have that brand new look, a quick polishing would make my RL look brand new

But could see why others might prefer white gold. Personally I'd favour platinum, but white gold has its own virtues, including price. Not everyone who bus a Lange is a millionaire. Wouldn't expect the relative price between platinum and gold to Iead to a...

Like i said, i dont think it shall be affected at all, but just wishful thinking. Well, since Pt shall always be more than gold, all the better than for the exclusivity issue. Not that i have something against it! Stephen

If they made this Zeitzone, with lume, made in PT like the existing version, i'd run to order one TODAY at my AD round the corner. It's a traveller's watch: it needs lume. It's a white metal Lange: platinum suits it best.

usually WG Langes go with a silver dial (whiter and quite shiny), whereas PT boxes are equipped with a rhodied dial (more grey and less shiny). If they do the same here I would say it is not a so bad idea (I have a preference for the silver dial personnal...

I hope the individuals who have the Buenos Aires edition in white gold with blued hands are happy with this iteration. Not a huge fan of the lume on the dial of any dress watch, so this one is probably not for me.

Instead of the white gold version A L&S should have worked on innovations like daylight saving or 30 minutes adjustments what Vacheron has developed. For a brand like Lange it should not be a big deal as they are way ahead in innovation .

i like it.. WG is a good option ....
