Still lovin’ it, and no it’s not McDonalds. What’s not to like about this? There is a spec of dirt on my crystal, not defect, just a note. Just to show some side by side comparison between some famous models, but without my Nautilus 5726/1A (in the bank)....
There are so many similarities in watch design nowadays so no surprises you’ll find something similar. Then the race is who can make it better. Thanks for the reference.
Just for a reference... Fun fact : this watch (in full steel) was worn in Red Sparrow movie on Joel Edgerton wrist. Imho, I think it was because it got traditional lugs unlike most of watches with integrated bracelet, and the bracelet itself doesn't blend...
More or less, it'll look like the aquatimer from iwc, I think... Because if the lugs was removed and one changed it into usual strap, it'll look less "sporty" and more like an usual classic lange, Imho, unless they planned to produce a broad strap either ...
As said elsewhere add a Nautilus and a Royal Oak and your journey will be complete 😂 Still waiting to see the Lange in the flesh but based on your collection photo Id still take the Daytona all day long
I will add my only Nautilus when I have chance but I’m very scared to go down the AP slope 😂 They have too many goodies and I don’t have the capacity to love another brand, maybe I will only bite the bullet and add the 15202 some day. The Daytona is a cro...
Thank you for sharing the excellent comparison photo of the ALS Ody with the other watches. Really like this model as it is with the bracelet and considering as my first ALS. Cheers
I knew it was always going to be difficult on the first look. Such a change. But I didn't hate it when it was released - thats always a good start! Press pics will never do it justice, so as more wristshots and real life pics emerged, it helped to form my...
Thank you for such a detailed analysis on the watch. To think about it, the current “hot” models weren’t that way 3-4 years ago and you can walk in to any AD to buy them. What’s actually changed if you ask me....nothing but the ugly, monetary “value” that...
Great collection and the ALS is a nice newcomer in the “High End Steel Sports Watches” Adding the Nautilus and it’s nearly perfect. Almost perfect. Very close to perfect. Just wondering if you’ve ever considered that recently released steel Urban Jurgense...
Yes I plan to put a Nautilus together next to see how they look. I never knew there was a new release by UJ as I’m not into independent brands yet, as well as the VC....can’t spread too much love across too many brands The VC is nice but the date window a...
I’m not very much into independents either. Some of them, like Gronefeld, are amazing and long time I considered buying one. But what held me back was continuity risk of those small firms. I buy watches with the intent to keep them and pass them on to the...
Maybe someone can explain to me why, on the big launch day, the major watch brands go with top-down, nuance-free "renderings" (really, just computer drawings) rather than actual photographs, which *always* look better ...
You provided a good point...maybe going forward, brands can handle new releases the way of a discussion, handling the real watch like some company doing internal CEO dialogue. Actually Anthony de Haas used to do that kind of video reviews few years ago.
