Dial color change on PT Langematik Perpetual (310.025)...
Abe, you may know this. I found it interesting and surprising.
Technically, Lange never officially changed the dial color for this model. Your dial and Ray's dial are both "rhodium." But in fact they look very different. Back in 2013, I made some dial comparison photos, below, in different lighting conditions. The older dials were more matte, uniform, and to me had a slight pinkish hue. The newer dials were more of a metallic sliver, with greater contrast between the subdials and the main dial.

This is what I have today. Nothing really special but I still think it is very pretty. Lange's finishing is just superb!
I am yet to find a toothpick to adjust the date.... but as long as the time is correct it is fine... ...

... what gives you the impression that the Langematik Perpetual is not uncommon? In my experience, this is one of the less common Langes (and of course, at about 5000 watches per year, Langes are generally uncommon -- but I know what you mean).

Please define really special (I know it’s all relative) but in my humble view you’re wearing a really special and beautiful time piece. Or shorter: I love it
no, the previous strap was black, again, nothing special.
Then I changed it to the deep navy blue and I like it more as it matches pretty well with the moon phase... better than the black. .
Now they are totally
discontinued in all metals. The Honey Gold being the swan song. Wonder if the movement will reappear in a 40mm case. Incredible watch.
Yes, mine is an earlier version. Yours is definitely more convenient when adjusting the date and day.
Lange has too many watches with the rectangular pusher at the 10/11 o'clock position, so it is good to have a piece without it. But when it comes to adusting the date it is a bit inconvenient.

I personally like the older style matte grey dial (pinkish?) fund the later version too shiny for my taste. Thanks for sharing Craig
