Hello All- Going to pull the trigger on my first Lange very soon and was hoping for some feedback/advice. I've narrowed it down to the Grand Saxonia in white gold/white dial(discontinued) or the current version, the Saxonia Automatic (38.5mm). This will b...

If you speak about the current Saxonia Automatic, the choice in my point of view is easy: go to the Grand Saxonia. Why? Because it features a Sax-O-Mat caliber which is much nicer than the central rotor caliber. The Sax-O-Mat caliber is available only now... 

and the central rotor movement is Meh (IMO). Best, Andreas

My dilemma...the grand saxonia is discontinued and I've never seen the watch in person let alone tried it on. Chances are good that I would have to take a leap of faith and buy it online sight unseen. I am also a bit concerned that the grand saxonia might... 

The Saxonia Automatic! Ultimately comfort on the wrist with the 38.5mm diameter and a more balanced dial with the long applied markers outweighed the nicer offset rotor. ...
