I am sure you bought ...
the 101.027 ... 18kt White Gold with blue dial. Not sure when production of
this sample was stopped, but iirc it is close to Dec 31st 2003. I was told
that no more then 700 pieces are made by Lange
Story goes that the 101.027 wasnt a popular model and didnt sell well. Lange
decided to change the dial for an Argenté dial and changed the white gold
hands for blued steel ones and changed the designation to 101.027X
(X=eXchange?)
I like your model very much. I did wear it (the watch belonged to a fellow
Dutch Lange owner) and I really like it. It isnt the most legible of Lange´s
but the blue gives it a very classy appearance... perhaps we must call it
the Lange-1 Imperial?

btw, with re. to that figure of 700; I am not sure if it is a count of just
101.027´s or if it is a cumulative number of 101.027 and 101.027X´s
