I hear you Fab! The ostrich is black grey so no blue hue in this one.
I did go for the blue special tanning with this one though to match the sub dial hands!

Is this ostrich? Regardless, this is a different look, but it works very nicely.
I especially like the evolution of the hide pattern as it moves out distally from the case.
I also love nubuck gator straps. This ostrich strap looks to have a nubuck quality to it…is that true?

One would opt for more plain strap with less texture change; Like a simpler black/grey nubuck gator… LOL but I already know that would look good.
I’m not sure if the original Dato has ever been better paired.
Than with the brown IWC Santoni strap that Edwin initially paired it with. So I am extremely biased. It’s either that or the original grey black for me. But I’m a creature of habit. ...
