I’m happy to see Lange offering such a timepiece because that really adds something more in their collection in my opinion. Still technically impressive and perfectly finished of course but with “more soul” for me

Your right my friend . The reason i didnt buy that CvdK yet is because its a bit in your face . I like it a lot but my wife (aka Boss ) keeps telling me not to do it .

This 39mm case was perfect for my wrist. Absolutely no problem. I would add that its “dark” dial, the size perception is reduced too

The only comparable piece I can think of is the Tonda from Parmigiani

I didn’t think about the Parmigiani (thank you for the reminder) but you have several other possibilities such as a Jaquet Droz, the Omega Speedmaster Moon Phase Aventurine, the Christiaan Van Der Klaauw Planetarium (new model)...

The aventurine really works well with simple dials, hopefully my local AD will carry the new ALS soon.

You have a wide choice today but, as you said, this kind of dial works very well with “simple” watches. And this new ALS is perfect here

You’re right Henry. Strangely, this Saxonia brings a little bit of “fun” in the today’s Lange collection but, at the same time, it’s formal because dressy. Lovely paradox maybe

Yeah, from my experience with the blue aventurine dial Omegas...

I think ALS has to bring something different, maybe less “cold” to their clients. A little touch of madness (well mastered of course) or poetry could be interesting IMHO like they did with the Emil Lange for instance

Humm, I talked a little bit with Lange sales persons and I think you’ll only have one version in 39mm of this Saxonia Thin as the other versions are already available in 37mm and 40mm

Yes 😊 Who knows? Maybe they will release a smaller version in the coming years if there’s enough demand for such a size

At 37mm with the shimmering blue dial

In my opinion, this 39mm is already a two genders watch. The woman I met told me that it was for both men and women. That’s why a 37mm version has a weak probability to exist one day in my opinion
