Hello everyone, Just about to dip my toes into the deep black abyss world of Lange and is trying to decide between the two - a Richard Lange in Rose Gold or the 1815 Sax-o-mat Automatik in Platinum. I know that both watches are excellent and I cannot real... 

To some extend, you answer your own question, you like the 1815 so I would say you go for that one. About the papers: are you buying the watch to sell or to keep. I would not be too concerned. On the other hand, I suppose you would have no problem to loca...

A 37mm case (1815 Sax-o-mat, 303.025) vs 40.5mm case (RL). What size do you typically prefer? Personally I'd pick the 1815 simply because of the blued hands. Or, if you prefer the RL size and look, but still want the blued hands, there''s a RL boutique ed...  

I would go with the RL as I believe that model is more popular than the older sax-o-mat's. In the end buy what you like, I have an old langematik date and love the watch. Good luck, Tony

For my money, it would be the Richard Lange, a long-time favorite of mine Hold on for an 1815 with the box and papers, though as that seems important to you At this price point, don\'t compromise Cheers, John

I assume both are priced fairly. I also assume your wrist size is 6.5"-7.5" (i.e., either watch would probably look normal on your wrist). Aesthetically, I prefer literally everything about the 1815 over the Richard Lange -- the dial, case proportions, et... 

Thank you all for the comments and suggestions. In the end, decided to pull the trigger and go with the 1815 Automatik. Both like I mentioned are beautifully crafted watches. In the end my reasons to go with the 1815 are the following: 1) I can still get ...

Consider yourself lucky indeed to have found this piece. As others have said, the standard 1815 is readily available, both new and pre-owned, but the automatic version is a hens tooth! Especially so in platinum. The mini rotor really shows off the beautif...
