and even fewer in 47040s. Times have changed, perspectives have changed, financial requirements have changed. Lange has woken up to the fact that they need to engage the younger generation, who’re mostly uninterested in dressy ‘old man’s’ watches, priming... 

every year, Patek and Rolex disappoint at Basel with some blah (or worse) new model, but no one gets depressed about it; they go on buying other models from Patek and Rolex. Every brand gets to have what we in the US call “a swing and a miss.” Even Lange.... 

Not a Lange owner nor expert by any stretch but from an outsider's pov, I think Lange has done a cohesive job of managing the brand over the years that one would like to cheer the slow but sure momentum on and would not want to see them fall flat on their... 

I do admit I am also very excited!

The few existing Steel watches have been Special Orders/Editions of regular watches. Their philosophy has been to use precious Metal. Lange is also known for iconic watches such as the lange 1, Zeitwerk and datograph. They've created their own Design lang...

Especially about the bracelet...

has to be a pusher of some sort, not a mere decoration; that’s why the sides appear in this top-down view to be just slightly larger than the underlying segment. If it’s a pusher, it’s on the side of the case — which means this is likely a thick watch. ... 

Though that would be an anticlimax, and not nearly as fun as my “helium escape valve or something like it” explanation.

(1) a central disk (rather than cylinder) would seem an odd design choice for that purpose, particularly given the slight incongruity with the surrounding segments, and (2) the “teaser” will turn out to be a lot more informative and fun if we learn that i... 

It is going to be a very long wait list

Lange in steel has always been very rare, they will likely keep it limited edition. Come to think of it, in recent years their EOY releases have been mostly (if not all) LEs...

Would’ve been way cooler if it was titanium. And smaller than the 41mm. Also don’t quite like the design of the bracelet.

Or is it a perpetual?? Probably not, as on the Alexander Linz's video they specifically said its not a complicated watch.

Guess it will look like a Langematic Sax-o-Mat with the big date on the right and weekday on the left? Maybe also quick date adjustment pushers. The dial seems blue. Plus a steel bracelet. Some Lange DNA, some steel, some water resistant, so blue... c'est...
