At first, starting from the name (I wonder who's the marketing guru behind it), I've thought it was neither fish nor flesh. Nice,obviusly, it's still a Lange, in the recent years it seems that they have found the "lost" way, but it wasn't that innovative ... 

Actually I thought the name Odysseus is pretty cool as it also denotes some kind of aquatic watch akin to the name Nautilus. I agree that the Odysseus looks very different on bracelet vs on leather strap/rubber strap. But thats good because everyone can g... 

I'm not so much a fan of the blue dial. I guess in future new iterations will come. As soon a black dial is available, it's time to visit my AD. The next two years the Odysseus is a Boutique-only watch in Europe. It seems the bottleneck in production is t...

And totally respect your reasoning even if I am not completely enamoured of it. I definitely preferred it once I had seen and tried it and agree that we can’t all like the same and that Lange are to be admired for trying something different... ... I mean,... 

I am very glad that AP releases the [Re]Master01 instead of another RO variant. I personally don’t find it controversial at all and it is one of the most attractive chrono in the market now. I will personally go for one if budget permits.

The rubber strap on the WG model can’t be used on the steel model. I think the lugs area is slightly different.

This is definitely a new and authentic approach in the high-end steel „sports watch“ market. In two or three years this watch will be accepted widely.

I share the same sentiments as you.

Very happy to go with this choice that most will not go for as their luxury steel sports watch. You can say I went with my heart.

but I think a sports watch needs a center seconds hand and sans the day indicator. Too much information.
