The Lange 1 models, followed by the Dato and then the Zeitwerk
Seeing these models in person and getting to handle them played a big role in formulating my opinion.
I think the Lange 1 dial layout lends itself especially nicely to the Lumen's concept of a semi-transparent dial. Same with the Dato, though the tachymeter is too dominant (too much green) for my taste when I tried it in different lighting conditions. The ZW Lumen, which shows me only scrambled numerals, never did much for me. And it reminds me too much of the Magic 8 Ball (below). But I like the Lumen concept in general and am glad that Lange continues to experiment with it.

Zeitwerk
My favorite is the Zeitwerk because the lumen concept was conceived for the Zeitwerk to charge the lume and be able to read the time in the dark. But agree with you on that spectacular moon phase!
Well, For me also mainly the Moon-Phase.. Next the Zeitwerk.. The issue with the power reserve, mostly agree, (although it does not completely ruin it for me)..

Another vote for the Lange 1 Moonphase....
.... which significantly eclipsed (no pun intended) the Lange 1 Lumen. I like the Lumen series and is a fan of the Datograph, but somehow the Datograph Lumen doesn't cut it for me.

Grand Lange One for me
I do not care for a moon phase at all and the Zeitwerk is too hectic in appearance.

but there is only one that actually needs the semi transparent Lumen dial to function and that is the Zeitwerk - without the semi transparent dial reading the time at night would be impossible. The other pieces are beautiful but none actually need the Lum...

Lange's luminous features tend to dim quickly. I am curious how long the luminous charge lasts on the ZW Phantom during typical use, when the wearer does not deliberately charge it up by putting it near a bright light. Is the time readable a few hours aft...
