Of course the term "Romantic" would not do with your mention of the "17th Century"
But furthermore, historically BAROQUE is the soul of the amazingly beautiful city of Dresden, from which Lange extracts its origins and inspiration.
I agree that the inspiration from the Baroque period of arts history could go very well as a driving force for the future of our favorite brand's designs.
Romantism works well too, due to the connection of the city with Richard Wagner, the revolution of 1848, etc.
In both cases, less rationalism, more fantasy, could temper the somewhat perceived rigidity of the Lange designs (which i personally love for their timeless character).
So, here we see a direction for potentially profound novelty, without sacrificing an inch of Lange's so special and valuable DNA.
Also, NOSTALGY in general should remain at the essence of the brand, not only because of the importance of reviving a lost tradition, but also because of the tragic history of the city of Dresden, which in itself summarises a part of the history of the last century's most terrible events. That history is fully materialised in the incredible story of the sucessful revival of the brand.
May these thoughts serve... Time will tell.
But in any case, i feel totally satisfied by Lange's current line!
Only, next year, i want a Minute Repeater, in 41mm please...
