Firstly, a warm welcome to the forum Thomas! Another Aussie, that's fantastic! Where abouts in Australia are you?
Don't worry you are not alone, the lack of an AD in Australia doesn't deter PuristS and other watch enthusiasts from acquiring the watch we/they love! We have quite a number of Lange owners coming from all over Australia. I'll let them chime in!
I personally don't own a Lange at this very moment, but I have owned 3 Lange's before (an original 1815, a Lange 1, and a Langematik, which I've just recently sold). But when I bought my first Lange, I was also eager to find out if there's other Lange owners here, and to my surprise, we do have a nice group of local Lange lovers!!
To answer your question about how I acquired them, I picked up the 1815 from Hong Kong, the Lange 1 was shipped from the US which I've bought off the internet, and the Langematik, I've picked up in Switzerland during a holiday. In this day and age, we don't need to rely only on a local representative to get our hands on these nice watches!
I'm sure we all hope that one day, Lange/Richemont will respond to market demand and come to Australia! But in the mean time we can still enjoy their beautiful watches!
Congrats on your beautiful watch!! It is a gorgeous model! Hope to read more posts from you, how about some photos of your 1815 Moonphase Homage?
