I had one for some time, a quality watch but the size at 34 mm was too small so it was time to move to thing else. I still regret selling it. cheers benio
I found this example recentry, great dial and a Cal 564 in a Seamaster case. very rarely seen. Just had it services, keeping perfect time to 2 sec per day. this is teriffic for a 30+ year old watch, but you wouldn't expect less from a Omega Chronometer. apologies for the poor picture quality cheers
walk across to Nathan Road, to the Holiday Inn, a couple of good shops in the basement level 1, vintage and new and many rare examples. Also behing the Sheridan Hotel, off Nathan road, good location, cheers benio
As I responded in another Lange forum note, there are a number of other Lange owner in Melbourne, maybe not as vocal as me but just as committed to the brand. cheers benio
I spend years looking for just the right Lange 1, and bought my langematik big date first and the Lange 1 second. I wear them occasionally, I have eclectic taste and like to spread my time across my small collection. I find few people know or understand the Lange Brand or the history, they are usual
It’s a treat to see these on their own, but to see the three together is indeed rare. The only thing missing is the black dial with the Breguet numbers to complete the picture, on any metal but preferably on the rose gold. Well done, a collecting triumph Benio
the size of the case seems to be the major differentiation factor. From 32mm for the 40's through to 35mm to37mm in the 60's and 70's, and here we are 2010 with a hockey puck on the wrist. my favorites include Ref 3445 and the first automatic ref 2526 ~benio
