Extremely disappointed with my AP ROO....

 

Had just purchased the AP ROO 44mm in FC and really enjoyed wearing it until recently when I noticed that the power reserve was not performing as it was meant to.

After wearing the watch for the entire day it still would not hold charge even until the next morning. On a couple of occasions the watch stopped even whilst wearing on my wrist.

Naturally I took the watch down to the service centre at River Valley in Singapore to have it checked and expected to get it back within a week. I however received the below from the service centre which was most dismaying:

As advised by our watchmaker, kindly be informed that we will be carrying out the necessary service and controls to ensure the optimum performance of your timepiece.  
The service will be done under warranty, at no cost to you.  

Estimated delivery time 10 working weeks.
Once ready, we will contact you immediately

One certainly does not expect to face any problems with the movement when buying a high end watch like the AP Offshore and bad enough that you have to take it down to the service centre you are finally told you have to do without it for 10 weeks!!! The warranty is dated as recent as Dec 2012.

Have any of you faced any similar problems with your APs
