I know it was introduced in 1996 and I know all about the 2225 calibre, but I can't find any info like press releases, articles, tests, advertisements or magazine reviews, etc. from when it was first introduced. I'm sure it must have been marketed somehow by AP. I did manage to find one article from a 2002 issue of WatchTime where they compared it to a Patek, Vacheron and Breguet but that's all I could find. I also know that it was only a moderate success although I was really attracted to the shape and simplicity.
