Through the years, we saw many iterations of the original... Some very appealing, such as the Jubilé with its awesome salmon dial, for example. Or the new 15202, with the characteristic small tapisserie and the return of the AP logo at 6 o clock. Or sever...

and i was glad to see this new 15202, but 5402 is 5402 and a bunker (monocoque-constuction) has no window, even if i like to see the beautifull movement. Best would be to own both. regards Stephan

Yes, owning the 5402 + a modern one should be the good choice. Now the thing is which one? The Jubilé or the 15202 last generation... I must confess that I still don't know. Best, Nicolas.

Seriously, there are some spotting from time to time... Past year, I saw at least half a dozen coming in excellent condition, for much less than the retail of a modern. So don't desperate, but don't hesitate, either... When you see a nice one. Best, Nicol...

In fact its a pleasure and pain at the same time.....definitely there must be one for me out there,still no luck though....It would be a killer pair and another achivement for me....yours is so beautiful...Cograts again and thank you Mo

in horology, at least... Other iterations, however appealing, are supplementary at best... I can only hope that the 5402 is mine, but alas... Luckily, the Salmon jubilee is equally charming, 20 years younger, no less satisfying... but still... supplementa...
