AP Contest
Hi TM,
A great way to ring in the new year and kick off the AP forum!
I've been really looking forward to the teaser shots. Not exactly sure what model this sneak peek is, but here's my guess:
1. Three Unique or unusual design elements: First are the he hands, IMO they have a distinct lightening and angles that match the RO design (maybe EDM'd and then finished by hand? Might even be two piece or stepped in the middle). Second is the tapiserrie dial with an unusual slanted surface. The third is unusual 15 minute chrono subdial at 12 o clock position.
2. Design inspiration: I would guess racing, Formula 1 due to sportiness and colors of the dial.
3. Name: AP ROO Jarno Trulli LE?
4. Case and bezel material: forged carbon with some special element/particles mixed in, titanium alloy, and ceramic
5. One of the two design abstract design concepts: subdials like a race car tachometer. Not sure if it's from the angle of the picture, but it seems that there's a design element of slanted angles. Not only is the tapisserie dial slanted, but the 12 o clock subdial is also slanted within the ring (but opposite angle of the dial).
So what other goodies does AP have planned for us? How about a star wheel :P
