Dear Fellow Owners, Enthusiasts, and Collectors- Today marks the beginning and the end of a long horological journey for me: the beginning of my Audemars ownership and the end of the long process of owning lesser time pieces that led me here. I have final...
It was the silver dial rubberclad. I was astounded by the craftsmanship - a true AP hallmark from its inception in 1875 to today. The feel on the wrist - powerful. There is no brand that does it better than AP. Welcome here, thanks for your photos, and pl...
No brand has quite the same feel on the wrist! And you have to love the rubber clad- such an iconic AP. Thanks for the warm welcome! Any group AP factory tours on the horizon???? Love to join one of those
You have a awesome piece, enjoy and wear in the best of health. Like MichaelC I also remember my first AP sliding onto my wrist. Eighteen years later I am still smiling. Best, JerryW
And I can't seem to get that AP grin off my face either! Perhaps 18 years in, I'll still be so lucky! Thanks for the warm welcome. Looking forward to reading more about your AP journey!
Barfly, Congratulations! The first cut is the deepest. I have a few Audemars Piguet watches but the gorgeous rose gold and black Royal Oak Offshore was missed out when first launched and now, I can't afford today's prices. You said, "I could write pages.....
MTF- I assure you that I have many more musings about my new 44, but I'm saving them for a good review once I've had it for at least a few days . Thank your for the warm welcome. Its fantastic to find such a great group of fellow enthusiasts. My cat is a ...
I worked for awhile to put together the right photos that would capture the essence of my new ownership experience! My cat is thrilled that you has your attention which is always what he craves. Looking forward to hearing more about your perspectives on A...
Full throttle, congratulations Barfly! Suits you so well, too - cool looks, an unmistakable and gutsy statement for an elegant and modern lady with an affinity to heritage and craftsmanship: kudos! Here\'s the bad news: it might not be your last Royal Oak...
Semper Fidelis-- You are too kind with your generous assessment! However, of course, I would love to think that I can live up to that fine prose, but I probably have a way to go there.... I'd still love to put it on my resume. . Thank you!! I agree, once ...
Your personality and your choice of what you wear and how you pull it off speaks a lot stronger than anything written. And a trip to LeBrassus is fabulous, great experience - perhaps a summer project for some Purists? Anyone? Btw: Love that classic soda-b...
So a functioning soda bottle would fit, no? Actually more the reference to Charles Bukowski with the screen name..... That trip is absolutely on the agenda.. just need a group of fellow enthusiasts to make it perfect. You are, of course, ever so generous ...
If you are going to try, go all the way ... that's why I'm on the AP forum And thank you for noticing the canes and the liquor....I'm clearly a Bukowski fan through-and-through.
It\'s never too early to eye your next reward... Banker\'s nod permitting. Given you have a Chronograph already, how about the Royal Oak Tourbillon since you mention that complication? Of course your choice is a marvelous piece, although I would suggest y...
Excellent suggestion, but perhaps a little conservative for my taste. I'm not known for my simplicity or restraint in design-- a flaw, perhaps? However, I greatly admire how the Tourbillion is the feature of this with nothing to distract. Very clean and t...
Is absolutely eye-popping! Just ask your cat=) Now that you have a ROO, your horological expectations have been irretrievably raised. It'll now take a lot more to top your new acquisition! Wear it in the best of health! J
You absolutely speak the truth. My expectations will never be the same again. I see only continued upward movement! Thank you for the warm welcome and noticing my cat's very appropriate response to a Offshore!
Royal Oak Offshore Forged Carbon with ceramic bezel inserted with diamonds. Comes in 37mm. You could pull it off! I only with they made it in 44mm as well.
Congratulations! a nice fit! I'm a large guy and when I was at the vegas boutique to try on several to size them (We don't have a boutique in Toronto) I thought the 44mm were too big. I ultimately purchased a 15710 diver. But I think you pull it off very ...
Awesome picture... now you make me want to add an AP Diver to my fledgling collection!!! Thanks for the kind words regarding my 44. I absolutely adore it, and every day I just love it more! Also, thanks for the PM with the recommendations. I'm really look...
Thank you for the warm welcome! Now that I've had my 44 for 2 weeks, I most definitely am eyeing my next acquisition.... really liking the Boutique Edition 44 Platinum ROO, and the Offshore Chronograph Tourbillon.... I can dream!
Malcolm is a Cornish Rex, not a Sphynx. However, he gets mistaken for one all the time. They share a ton of DNA, and I too love the Sphynx breed. Thanks for the warm welcome! Barfly
