I once hit a boat ladder while diving with a PAM87.
That is a steel monster of course. The case was fine as I hit the top of the strap between the lugs as best I could tell. But I would never want to whack an all ceramic watch on a boat ladder or anything else.
Even though most AP owners won't be diving with this watch, I would like to know it would be up to its name if called upon.

Enthusiastic AP fans jump all over the ceramic models. I myself have shown a love for the tantalum and gold QEII. The forged carbon with ceramic bezel is a real looker. But none of them are a better execution of a "dive" watch than the model you have. And...
If I could change one thing...
I would drop the date window in favour of more symmetry. Although this is more an idiosyncratic preference rather than an improvement. Looking forward to more of your reviews Michael! John
That could make it even more amazing.
Kind of like an AP base. You know, if they also made it destro style, we could wear it on the left wrist and have easy access to the bezel crown. Hmmm... Thanks for your kind words, John.
