It is a real nugget of a watch.
With the extra thickness and 42mm diameter, it does appear big. I must admit though, I prefer the proportions of the older cases to the newer 44mm ones.
We need to get a 42mm Offshore on your wrist with a Diver or Survivor strap and tang buckle. While I have always worn AP clasps without comfort issues, I have found the other setup to absolutely perfect.

The AP-AP remains one of my favorites, too, for all of the reasons you mentioned. It is just a standout among the Offshores. I am really glad you explained how all of that works -- I still had not quite grasped it until this post. Best, respo
