Me too!

I also tried on the smaller model - with diamonds but it will also come without - and very much liked it. The straps seemed ok...I think...well that is to say, I don't remember an issue with their length! But I spent more time with it on the bracelet.

I also found the brown-dial larger model to be attractive and because of the subtle dial colour (which doesn't feel very brown at all) didn't seem as large as the blue or white.

As you say, seems a bit of a shame there's no free-sprung balance.

All of this gets fixed with the ultra-thin, which combines a very subtle dial with a minimalistic two hands (no date!) and a classic movement - perhaps the most iconic automatic movement in current production? - but is only available in white gold for reasons only known to the marketing and product differentiation specialists, no doubt to prevent cannibalisation of the 'regular' model. I keep thinking that if VC did this in steel it would have achieved some sort of perfection.
