Rubber strap for the Grand Prix?
Hi Thomas,
I managed to finally get a confirmed order on the Grand Prix! It was a tough choice between it and the Survivor but the GP prevailed. I did notice that the pricepoints for Survivor has come tumbling down to much lower than MSRP for a brand new piece. Has AP become a stock market brand...? At very much speculated prices?
Anyway, let's digress to the topic at hand. Would you be able to fit a Survivor or Alinghi rubber strap to the Grand Prix if need to? Make no mistake, the leather's amazing looking, just not so suitable where I reside in the tropics. Your kind feedback's most welcomed!

Just the 2 watches I'm looking to get. Of course, the Grand Prix is a 'wait list' and getting the Survivor off the secondary market is available. I'm still holding back to see how the price fluctuates...
Both are ground breaking. It's been said that great art must cause
discomfort at some point - it shakes our comfortable assumptions and makes us think and feel outside our comfort zone. I personally find that designs that take a little while to appreciate also tend to be more interesting, longer... Cheers, TM

Amazed at how much the Survivor has grown on me . . .
. . . it didn't do it for me when it was first announced, but slowly, steadily has moved up my "lust" list. Maybe the same thing will happen with the GP models??? Nice photo! Dan

I felt that way about the RBII, and insofar as the shiney bezel (not in the normal sense of "shiney") I still do. Try and see and handle one in person if you can (both) - that will be the key. But I suspect that these two pieces will go down in the books ...
