Audemars Piguet - Strap conversion, yay or nay

Strap conversion, yay or nay

Having recently purchased a Dual Time (ref 26120st) I'm wondering if

I can change out the stainless bracelet to a leather strap.

I love the fit and feel of the bracelet, but currently as a daily wearer it

is unfortunately a scratch magnet.I know of the aftermarket conversion

but was hoping not to go down that avenue.I visited an AD in Sydney

but got the impression they didn't want a bar of me, maybe because I

rocked up in a pair of thongs (not the underwear version) and am

covered in tattoos. I've sent out some emails to various AP boutiques

but have not received an answer.

If anyone has done this conversion or know if it is even possible

I would love to hear from them,

or at least steer me in the right direction.
