Nicolas, I was just rereading your post and admiring the photos again, and I noticed you mention the difficulty in winding the jumbo. Mine was made some years after yours, to be sure, but the movement should be the same. I agree that winding the watch is ... 

Respo, my experience jibes with yours. In fact, in most cases, I don't even need to "start it up" with a manual wind, I just give it a couple of shakes, set the time, and off I go. The cal. 2121 is legendary for good reasons......

I totally agree with you and Thomas on the fact that you just have to give it a few turns before wearing it, BUT as it has a slow change of the date, if your watch is not on the correct day, you have to use this crown to set the date... If the date is far...

I must admit that some of their watches generate a lot of Admiration. This RO, for sure, but also some of their most complicated watches, as well as a feqw ROOs ( in fact, the Orchard Road ), and a special mention to the Starwheel, which is in my short li... 

This is very much true. I bought RO Jubilee without having in on my wrist before the purchase. When I opened the box and put it on, it felt unusual - neither modern sport watch nor a classic dress one. I felt a bit confused. Well, it only lasted a day or ... 

Would love to see some scans of your Jubilée. What dial do you have? I think these simple ROs are watches to be discovered, indeed, to be fully appreciated. I evne prefer it to the Vintage Nautilus, which is another great creation from the GGG ( Genius Ge...
