yes. The dial has been changed earlier in previous servicing.
This is a daily beater and my dad didnt care too much about watch collecting but treat as a tool so obvious choice to change dial when it is worn......... i have checked with AP...They mentioned that some A series post 1000 series have AP at 12'O Clock...My dad cant bother to rem if it is at 6'clock or 12'clock.....

Frankly speaking, i am a Rolex fan but sometime i drool upon my Dad's AP. My Dad's A Series >1K series Audemars Piguet Jumbo and complimenting tie clip from AP (925 vermeil) Its the best combination. For sharing.......

All A series left the factory with AP logo above 6; more than a few have had
the dials replaced, usually with later AP at 12. Was it the factory in Le Brassus that told you some A series post 1000 were at 12? very interesting...
Such a mysterious watch is the jumbo...
