..sounds quite true! At times I too wonder, if demand is still high whether AP would have it stretch to an RB4? Naah probably not.. that's bad luck in Asia! RB8 perhaps?? hehe.. Began collecting during the T3 days, grabbed almost everything I could get my hands on in between (a few--in one or more variation/metal), and finally just had to put my stop at Shaque. That one day, upon opening my boxes, I realized just how many of basically the 'same things' in differing iterations/cosmetics I had--thus grew tired, and out of it. Nowadays, I think one needs to be more selective, buy only pieces which really connect with their heart and would get plenty of wrist time. As for value retention, exclusivity and all that jazz, you can well consider that as things of the past.

swcloh, I chose the Survivor because I do like black watches and firearm design, and I don't like forged carbon, colorful watches, or watches named after people. To each his own.

I would take the RB2 in any metal. In my personal opinion its the best looking ROO of all time...

I would choose the RB2 in rose gold over any waych in the world. I own the RB2 Titanium and have just bought the GP Carbon. I think the RB 2 in all metals and the GP are the best looking ROO's ever made!

Yes I do believe the RM011 is an "evergreen" watch
I only sold it because I had to. Needed funds to pay for another watch which was too good of an opportunity to pass up. I figured I could always buy the RM011 back later in the future since it is a regular production model. - AT

Of the 2, I'd get the RM011
because I consider the RM011 more "unique" since there really isn't any other RM of this size and thickness yet. For the RB2, there are other Offshores similar in styling, size, and complication, so that's why I consider the RB2 less unique than a RM011. ...

I agree with you that the RM 011 is uniquely position, be it size, design AND price as well. It's a tough call between it and RB2 and my only concern with the RM 011 is the quality of the movement which I've read about in the earlier 2007/2008 models.
