Very nice collection...but you need something ins yellow or rose gold. to add some color
Hi Thurgood,
That's a very nice collection....although I think you need an all yellow or rose gold watch. You have some really iconic pieces that are the building blocks of many nice collections. The Santos 100 is a nice modern interpretation of the classic Santos. The Sub is a perfect watch for the beach or vacations. The Daytona is a beautiful Rolex chronograph that I never tire of wearing or seeing. The RO is beautiful, and since you have a time only version already, I think the chronograph will be a great addition to your collection. I'm glad to see you are already familiar with Piaget. Its certainly one of my favorite brands. I think the only watch that is a little blah...is the Datejust. So find it a new home and then start looking at all yellow or rose gold watches to add some color to your collection! Even if the Piaget is yours I'd love to see something in all yellow or rose in that collection. Also, no need to apologize for the size of your collection. I really like what you have and to be honest I've collected for a lot longer than you and I only have a few more watches than you. I would rather have a few really great watches that I like a lot instead of a large variety of lesser pieces.
Best regards,
Dino

i thought about purchasing a 26320st chrono, however its movement kinda bugged me, i was told its FP 1185 movement has been used for many brands, even on Omega speedmaster, i initially thought FP1185 only supports all the high ends, should i get a 15400ro...

Watch companies that I am aware of that have used it and continue to use it are AP, Vacheron Constantin, Breguet, Blancpain, and Cartier has used it in their Pasha Chronographs. I am not aware of Omega using it in their Speedmaster. I believe the Speedmas...

Hi Thurgood, So it seems you are interested in a sort of sporty rose gold watch. To be honest, I prefer ROs in stainless steel rather than gold. Maybe its because the originals were in steel (although I know that AP also made them in gold in the 70s). I w...

By: scottie : July 22nd, 2012-05:50
hi dino! Yea! probably i'll find a way to sell my 15300 eventually for a 15400OR, i have tried on the rose gold Daytona, without a doubt its a nice watch, the only downside is its size, not as ideal as the newly 15400, and its true i already have that in ...

hi dino! i was in this ad store in hong kong yesterday, and tried on the rose gold 15400 one more time as i was still indecisive over this and the gold chronograph. What you've said "the gold chrono will cover both in SS and ro15400" has got me thinking a...
