As for the 5712, I wouldn't sweat it. Maybe I'm in the minority (wouldn't be the first time), but I much prefer to see a watch that shows the signs of use and enjoyment, over one that is in pristine condition but has spent its entire life on a winder or in a dark safe. Where's the fun in that?

YUM. I love the use of forged carbon on this watch, perhaps more here than any other one they have used it for.
I was considering the Concept Chrono but I am a fan I f M Schumacher.. so I went for the Laptimer.
I have tried on my brother’s AP Concept Chronograph many many times and did worn it for a month. Love it.

Awesome piece James, but surely it must be far too big for your good lady wife? It is a huge watch lug to lug.
If you have confidence and you love the timepiece, I don’t think it can ever be too big (or too small)
And that applies equally to men and women. As an example, my wife’s favorite watches are her 44mm Rose Gold Offshore, 44mm Team Alinghi Offshore and her URWERK 110. I have to admit, they look great on her and she carries them off very well! NickO

I must admit I still have quite a lot of safe queens n most are sealed and brand new .. haha.. 😅 Usually they are duplicated ie I bought two of the same watch either as a couple watch or one for keep.
