This new variation is only 250 pieces, boutique only. Supply of the steel 15202 is always limited, and lately, very low.

This will be an easy sell out through boutiques, obviously. Really, it is not too big of a premium, considering the platinum, titanium, and very special dial.

I will let go the QEII. I got it from the bank safe a couple of days ago and am wearing it right now but I have come to the conclusion that it is too bold for me. The 15202 is just a different league.

Other Royal Oaks are just "different".

actually TBH, there is another RO 15202 model that is high on my list and even more exclusive: the Hour Glass yellow gold/green dial made of 50. Perhaps have to wait until I’m older and can pull off the all yellow gold look. 🤔. We should both get one, obv...  

Maybe I should aim for the full platinum jumbo then... 🤪 I really do like this platinum/ti model though...I’m not sure however if the fully polished bezel would drive me nuts...

Stating that from a distance, nobody would know it is different. I entirely disagree. Anyone that knows Audemars Piguet will spot the exceptional bezel immediately.

And mine continues to look brand new. You either hit your watches against thing or you don't, I am more in the 2nd camp. 250 is quite rare, and they don't make many variations of this reference. I love it.

I’ve been wearing my AP 25820SP which also has the platinum bezel for about 75% of the past 6 months. It’s a slightly thicker watch than this 15202IP since mine is a perpetual calendar but I’ve had no problems with scratches. Obviously I don’t wear the AP... 

Perfect size and beautiful look. One of the best PCs on a bracelet out there.

the list of desirable ROs is long, mostly because the fit is so comfortable. 😃

Because it reflects the whole light spectrum (visible) and seems to be black. I've read that definition in the famous Giulio Papi's book on finishing types. When I'll be back home I'll look for the title. If you look at the front photo, the bezel seems to...

But it does have a whole new character, possibly magic, as you say.

Now that I’ve had a chance to digest it I’m just happy it’s there. I think it is a very worthwhile compliment to the original steel version. It doesn’t compete but it offers a very nice alternative, I even think Genta himself would’ve liked it! After all ...
