I must say that I was never very impressed by this one... For me, the French Coupés, the iconic ones are the Facel Vega, the Citroen SM, the Alpines, the Venturi and a few Peugeot, I mean the iconic ones.

Absolutely terrible name for a car.
AMC did make some good looking cars: AMX and the Javelin. At the same time they made the : Pacer..which looked bloated
Btw.
AMC and Jeep later belonged to Renault. And it was Renault F1 engineers who made the Heep Cherokee, the first modern SUV during that time 😊👍🏻
