A blessing or a curse?
15 years ago my first luxury car was a naturally aspirated BMW 328. I’ve owned many 3 Series including the turbo 335. Three years ago I walked into BMW looking to score a new M340 sedan. They only had two, both spec’s the way I didn’t want them. I test drove the X3 M40 for the first time and it was love at first drive. Even three years later, it’s a fun daily but also has room for my family and their stuff. Ok, I realize we aren’t talking the HP and price of the AM, but you get the picture. For me it was a blessing! 😉

The Escape never crossed my mind, not once
when I saw the AM today, but now that you put those two side by side from the same angle, I def see the resemblance ! 😂

Also would have not connected the dots unless you showed the side by side shots. It’s often been the way that Ford and Aston design coincided since the days of Aston being a Ford group product 😉
Nice photo and I am sure it sounds amazing being an Aston Martin.
But personally I am not really sure how I feel about all of these sport SUV's from sports car manufacturers it just seems a bit odd to me. Marc

everyone wants an SUV. I thought it was crazy a while ago too. But now it seems the strategy norm to increase market share and appeal to more buyers

I drove the 707 last year, and it was easily the best and most sports-car like SUV that I've ever driven. A neighbor of mine has one of these 'regular' DBXs, and it seems to be performing really well for her as a daily driver....
It is probably one of the handful of SUVs that don’t stumble over themselves when asked to perform on a proper road…
They really did great in that respect. As for engine note - AMG V8s are known to be sonorous and the ones in Aston’s are no exception 👌🏻🦾

The problem is that in the good old days, owners would have a proper saloon (S-class / 7-series / Jaguar) or a real 4x4 (Land Cruiser / Range Rover) for daily use and an Aston or Ferrari for special occasions. Each car would be perfectly suited to its int...
