A GT.... so a forced comparison to any 911
The 928 GTS/ would have been a better comparison, but over a decade separates the two. There's no post-2000 Porsche that really lines up with any two-door Maserati has built in this Millennium. Historically, Maseratis were more like Italian Aston Martins than 1-for-1 Porsche or Ferrari rivals on the road. The last series-production Maser (i.e., no MC12 or 90s Barchetta) that seemed like an earnest pitch at the 911's performance image likely was the Shamal 20 years ago.

I find these comparisons a bit sterile, but the two cars are far from it! A Porsche will never be a Maserati and a Maserati will never be a Porsche. Two great parts of motorsport that satisfy rather different kinds of customers.
I would take a Ferrari if I had to choose from that era, black f430 Best, É.
It is finding the expertise to work on them more than the cost
Reality is they are pretty robust if servicing regime is kept to. You do have to budget for a clutch every 20-30K miles though (at £2-£3K)

Better than a 911
More character and more interesting. I’ve driven many 911s and have never wanted one. I find them to be clinical and sterile and just not up to my standards of entertainment. Is this a manual transmission? Nice ride!!!
