... even though the tyres are ‘only’ 195 mm wide ( which is considered very small these days 🥺) i doubt VW allows you to fully deconnect the traction control.
If you want to do a mega burnout all you need is a 85 hp , 810 kilo French box with 165 mm (scream)-tyres ... 😛 ... and when you finally picked up some speed just yank the steering wheel to the left ... or right and pull the handbrake, fun fun fun.
I half-coincidentally did exactly that and I couldn’t believe the clouds of smoke i saw in my rear view mirror 😂.

Kerb weight 995 kg, 115 horsepower, torque 200 Nm, 3 (yes: three!) cylinders, 999 ccm, turbo charged, 0 - 100 km/h (0-60 kph) in 8.8 seconds, Vmax 196 km/h (122 kph)
Congartulation! 3 Cylinders (and even less ccm) works very well! My Smart Roadster! has around the same specs :) I love small cars...
I think the rims could be even a bit bigger - but nice neverheless...

Very cool and nice handling little car(t). Was that a 800cc 3 cilinder turbo ? Or was it 600 cc ? Can’t remember.

110 hp in a Smart Roadster ... nice. I remember my friend sold his roadster to a young lady, she was so happy with it, she saved long time for that car. A couple of months later her jealous ex-boyfriend lighted it and it burned off completely 🤬.

Actually i thought i was still being gentle on the brakes .... 😆. Imagine my face seeing flames on both sides coming up half a metre above the hood 😬. Afterwards my friend told me i should have let it burn in order to have the insurance pay it back 🤣😂. ...

Just had some major reviosion done.
Brakes, brake lines, swingarms, exhaust, rear axle, joints etc are changed / refurbished. I must admit it feels more solid now. Also fitted new tyres last year.
I would love to do a road trip with the 205.

Since it took the first gti’s nearly ten seconds to reach 100 kph. The trick is to make a relatively slow car a lot more fun to drive than a fast car.

Yesterday i searched Youtube on this little Gti ! It sure looks very cool and the reviews are very positive. A far from slow little car with very good looks and a very nice and high quality interior .... hmmmm .... what do you need more ?
