I dont have an answer, it has always been like this. They need the market and the price must be market compartibel. Look the price for a Corvette.
But there are much more advantages for USA buyers. In this price difference is not the dealer network included. Can you imagine how much money you need for a big country like USA, this have to pay all Porsche clients. So the europeans pay the dealer netwo...
May be a little are taxes, they also have taxes in USA, but the basic price always was much lower. In Switzerland the basic price is a lot higher than in germany!
Now, when Trump brings 25% tax for german cars, may be Porsche had to reduce the price to be competitiv in the states.
