I do some of that too, these days. Have a collection of 1:18 cars but they take up a lot of space and are currently stored. And the Hot Wheels and the like occasionally come with from a toy store 😉

The Alpine is one of the very few exceptions nowadays. It's a strange world, where an M3 (albeit in estate form) comes in at 1,9 tons...

Earlier this year I was seriously considering an electric vehicle. The reason I backed off was no option for home charging - to charge overnight - which seemed too inconvenient. Electric cars are barely out of their infancy. Just starting to hit their gro... 

As you say barely out of infancy. But given the investment the progress is rapid. Ultimately they are a lot more efficient and also cheaper to produce and run, once you get past the initial learning curve. The inability to fast charge at home also prevent... 

Still think a hybrid is the way to go for now

Range in the meantime has increased a bit since the i3 (I remember driving one at a Montblanc event back in 2017 ). And charging has gotten massively faster and options more prevalent. I have to say I really liked how BMW integrated the charging infrastru... 

I believe that since i owned the BMW things has evolved a lot . Am currently thinking of getting a new car in the near future so lets see what happens after driving a few different models and brands .

Curious to hear what you finally decide on. Definitely want to try out the Lotus Emeya before making a decision and possibly a Lucid Air (if they don't pull the plug by then).
