The 65 Corvette was a great year.
The disk brakes were a huge improvement over the old drum brakes.
In the late 70’s I talked my father into buying a 1957 Corvette. He liked it so much we started buying and restoring Corvettes to factory condition and showing them all over the USA. Great times of my youth. The restoration process was fun, it took a lot of research and scouring of Hemmings News the day it was delivered. Before the internet that was the best way to find parts.
And the performance......
In 65 this was car must have been incredible. Fuel injection, Disk brakes and electric windows in 65 This was the future !

I believe that split window Corvettes, good Dr, were only 1963.

After 27 years of ownership I did part with my 1963 Split Window.
Did not think I would ever sell it. I do miss it but I have too many other distractions right now. That was my second 1963 air coupe, first year for AC in a Corvette. They built 278. ...

After it was restored in 2006 it was a different car. Everything was tight and it rode well. I also had a 66 roadster with 60k miles. It was a driver but it was loose and rough. Amazing difference when you have all new shocks, bushings, motor mounts, etc....
