Wow, a chrome bumper pre-L Pantera.
These were the least developed - most problematic - but also the fastest with the original pre-smog 351 Clevelands. Also, these were the best looking without the heavy bumpers of the 73-74 era and the faux IMSA gingerbread body flares and wings of the 80s. Tom Tjaarda's original Pantera was the best looking Pantera. But still, I love them all. I think this is one of the few exotics you can drive without earning a flying finger from onlookers.

It is a beautiful Detomaso Pantera a great Italian designed car with an American big block engine and running gear.
One of my best friends was seriously addicted to Detomaso cars and had a Pantera, Longchamp and a racing Mangusta which was insanely quick. This picture really reminds me of that time and I can't even remember the last time I saw any Detomaso on the road....
There was one just down the street
from my high school, exact same color. I drooled every day as the bus I rode went past it.
